Contemporary Living Room

This project documents the architectural transformation of a large residential volume from the construction phase to a fully resolved open-plan living environment. The intervention focused on spatial reorganization, ceiling integration, and refining structural and vertical circulation elements.

A continuous ceiling plane was developed to conceal infrastructure and incorporate recessed lighting, creating a clean architectural datum across the entire space. A full-height wood wall system was introduced as a unifying architectural surface, aligning visually and materially with the staircase structure and reinforcing spatial continuity.

The staircase was treated as a sculptural yet lightweight element, combining wood treads and glass to maintain openness while defining vertical circulation. Large-format stone flooring was specified to enhance the perception of scale and establish a seamless base plane throughout the environment.

The result is a technically resolved and architecturally coherent open-plan space, where construction precision, material continuity, and structural clarity drive the design.
